VAUGHAN CLEANERS INC also referred to onwards as “Company” or “we”, “us” reserves the right to make amendments to these terms and conditions for our cleaning service in Toronto and surrounding areas without giving prior notice. By requesting service from VAUGHAN CLEANERS INC, the client accepts that these terms and conditions below, and agrees to abide by them. Please carefully read these terms and conditions.

Services

Vaughan Cleaners provides professional residential cleaning services in Toronto, Ontario and surrounding areas.

Services may include:

Standard recurring cleaning
Deep cleaning
Move-in / Move-out cleaning
Post-renovation cleaning
Add-on cleaning services

The exact scope of work will be outlined in your quote, invoice, or booking confirmation.

We reserve the right to adjust cleaning methods, equipment, and products to maintain professional service standards.

Quotes & Pricing

Quotes are based on information provided by the client and visible property conditions.
If the condition of the property differs from what was represented, pricing may be adjusted.
All prices are subject to applicable taxes including HST.
Recurring service pricing may be updated with reasonable notice.

Payment Terms

Payment is due upon completion of services unless otherwise agreed.
Recurring services may require a credit card on file.
Vaughan Cleaners reserves the right to suspend services for unpaid balances.
Late payments may incur fees permitted under Ontario law.

Cancellations & Rescheduling

A minimum of 24 hours notice is required to cancel or reschedule a service appointment.
Late cancellations may result in a fee of up to 50% of the scheduled service price.
If access to the property is not provided at the scheduled time, a lockout or no-access fee may apply.

No Long-Term Contracts

Residential services are provided without long-term contracts unless otherwise agreed in writing.

Recurring services may be cancelled by either party with reasonable notice.

Client Responsibilities

Clients agree to:

Provide safe and timely access to the property
Ensure utilities such as water and electricity are operational
Secure pets during cleaning visits
Remove excessive clutter
Disclose hazards such as mold, pests, structural issues, or biohazards

Homeowners remain responsible for maintaining safe premises under Ontario law.

Conduct

Vaughan Cleaners maintains a respectful and professional working environment.

Harassment, discrimination, aggressive behavior, or inappropriate conduct toward our staff will result in immediate termination of services.

Working at Heights

For safety and compliance with Ontario workplace safety regulations:

Our staff will not perform work requiring access to roofs or unsafe ladder heights.
Staff will not climb higher than a standard step ladder.
Tasks requiring specialized height equipment are not included unless separately contracted.

Health & Safety

Vaughan Cleaners reserves the right to refuse or discontinue service where conditions pose a safety risk, including but not limited to:

Hazardous materials
Severe mold contamination
Pest infestations
Structural hazards
Illegal activity on the premises

We do not provide hazardous waste removal services.

Satisfaction Guarantee

If you are dissatisfied with your service:

You must notify Vaughan Cleaners within 48 hours of service completion.
We will return to re-clean the affected area before refunds are considered.

Refunds are issued at the sole discretion of Vaughan Cleaners.

Liability

Vaughan Cleaners maintains commercial general liability insurance.

We are not responsible for:

Pre-existing damage
Normal wear and tear
Improperly installed fixtures
Fragile or unsecured items
Cash or undisclosed valuables

Liability is limited to the lesser of repair/replacement cost or the total service fee paid for that visit.

Vaughan Cleaners is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

Non-Solicitation & Hiring of Vaughan Cleaners Staff

Vaughan Cleaners invests significant time and resources into recruiting and training its cleaning professionals.

All employees and contractors are bound by confidentiality and non-solicitation agreements.

Clients agree not to directly or indirectly:

Solicit
Hire
Contract
Engage

any current or former employee or contractor of Vaughan Cleaners for private work.

This restriction applies:

During the time Vaughan Cleaners provides services to you, and
For two (2) years following the last date our team member worked at your property.

This includes hiring for:

Direct employment
Contract work
Cash arrangements
Third-party businesses

Placement Fee

If a client hires or engages a current or former Vaughan Cleaners team member in violation of this agreement:

A placement fee equal to 20% of the team member’s estimated annual compensation will be immediately due.

This applies whether employment is full-time, part-time, temporary, or contract-based.

Clients wishing to formally hire a team member must contact Vaughan Cleaners to discuss an authorized arrangement.

Refund Policy

Vaughan Cleaners is committed to providing high-quality service.

Refunds:

Are not automatic
Are issued only after investigation
May be partial depending on the situation

Refunds will not be issued for:

Failure to provide property access
Change of mind after service completion
Conditions beyond our control
Pre-existing buildup or damage not removable through standard cleaning.

Accidents, Damage & Breakage

While we take every precaution to prevent accidents, cleaning services involve inherent risks.

If accidental damage occurs:

Clients must notify Vaughan Cleaners within 48 hours.
We will investigate the matter promptly.

If damage is determined to be caused by our team’s negligence, we may:

Repair the item
Replace the item
Submit a claim through our insurance provider.

We are not responsible for damage due to:

Pre-existing conditions
Improper installation
Fragile items not disclosed
Normal wear and tear.

Theft & Security

Vaughan Cleaners carefully screens and trains all staff.

If a client suspects theft:

Vaughan Cleaners must be notified within 24 hours of discovery.
A police report may be required before an insurance claim is processed.
Vaughan Cleaners will cooperate with any investigation.

We are not responsible for:

Missing cash
Unsecured valuables
Claims reported outside the required timeframe.

False claims may be reported to authorities.

Before & After Photos

For quality assurance and documentation purposes, Vaughan Cleaners may take before and after photos of cleaned areas.

Photos:

Are used for internal documentation and training
May be used to resolve disputes
Will not intentionally include identifiable individuals.

Photos used for marketing purposes require written client consent.

Privacy & Data Protection

Vaughan Cleaners collects personal information solely for:

Scheduling services
Processing payments
Customer communication
Legal and accounting compliance

All information is handled in accordance with Canadian privacy laws.

Children’s Privacy

Our services are not directed to individuals under the age of 13.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Retention of Personal Data

Personal information is retained only as long as necessary to:

Provide services
Maintain financial records
Comply with legal obligations

Information is securely deleted or anonymized when no longer required.

Disclosure of Personal Data

We may disclose personal information:

To payment processors
To accounting professionals
To insurers if required for claims
To authorities when required by law.

We do not sell or rent personal information.

Other Legal Requirements

Personal information may be disclosed when necessary to:

Comply with legal obligations
Protect the rights of Vaughan Cleaners

Force Majeure

Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts located in Toronto, Ontario.
